STRATUP simulates a manufacturing setup. Players of 6 form teams to don the role of heads of various departments. Players decide their role within the team and familiarise themselves with the goals, objectives and decisions that they need to take.

Players run the simulation for 5 gaming years. After every year, a report on the current market situation and their past performance is given for analysis. Based on the result, the teams alter their strategy to adapt to the current situation. The winning team is chosen based on balanced growth.
